But the aftermarket isn't always that clean. The car had an aftermarket arm from a previous repair, so the connector style wasn't original.

The Surface Problem: A Part Number Is Not a Fitment

CBC usually means Cornering Brake Control, and the auto differential part is usually about an automatic locking or limited-slip differential. Knowing those systems can help a technician, but it won't tell you which Bosch part fits the car.

Catalog language is its own language

Bosch and most OE suppliers design part numbers as engineering references, not consumer labels. A part number can include a platform code, a revision letter, a material code, or a connector style. This is the same logic we use in our own stamping and machining work. A die number isn't 'that bracket we made for Toyota.' It's a specific tool with a specific revision. If you order with the wrong revision, the parts won't assemble.
